Vickie Bottelson

Miriam

Vickie Bottelson became enamored with the Renaissance Faire since her first visit at 16 years old to Agoura. Years passed, though, as she followed her theatre and music roots in other directions. As the lead singer in a country-rock band, “Betty Dylan”, she toured the country in an RV for 5 years and played at such legendary clubs as The Bottom Line in NYC and The Roxy in L.A. and opened for many national acts such as Rodney Crowell, Hank III, Dan Hicks, Loudon Wainright, Drive By Truckers, Leon Russell, and more. The highlight of which was performing at Willie Nelson’s 2004 Farm Aid concert and fulfilling her dream of singing the National Anthem at the stock car races in Indianapolis. Vickie has also recorded songs for childrens’ television programs, CDRoms and radio/tv jingles.

When Vickie met her current paramour, an original member of the Dogs in Doublets, she joined him in his love for the Faire and quickly fit right in as a member of St. Helena’s in Southern Faire in 2008. In 2009, she joyfully joined faire as a performer with a new group, Wren of Iniquity, and in 2010 joined a second Renfaire singing troupe as an “emeritas” player in The Belles of Bedlam!

Rhiannon Mariani

Mariah

Rhiannon Mariani (Owner/Producer) has been working the Renaissance Pleasure Faire since she was just a baby.  She was on stage for the first time when she was three years old with La Perduta Commedia.  Outside of Faire, she is a high school student who enjoys dancing, swimming, photography, fast cars and the boys who drive them, and of course shopping.  She is an only child, which means that she loves being the center of attention as much as humanly possible.  Rhiannon is always willing to perform upon request, as well as not upon request – actually, most of the time she just won’t shut up.

Anita DeRoover

Minerva

Anita DeRoover first attended Renaissance Faire in 1988. In 2001 she met a group of people from loopedatfaire.com who encouraged her to attend some smaller faires with them. By Southern Faire that year, she was working at Hallowed Tree Furniture, which was her home for three seasons. While working for them at Northern, she met the girls of the Belles of Bedlam, and became fond of their show. When auditions were held in 2003, she was encouraged to participate, and became Minerva Peeling. Anita comes from a long line of performers, so it only seems natural that she landed here.

Tara Jennifer Pool

Tara Jennifer Pool, a North San Diego resident, is an award-winning singer, actress and costumer. She has been active in amateur and professional theatre for over 16 years, and with medieval and Renaissance groups for over 13. She works as an executive receptionist for a Fortune 500 company to fund her theatrical passions. Her musical pursuits currently include The Cheshire Singers, the Spirit of Christmas Past, and solo performances. She has also sung with the San Diego Master Chorale, and worked in several local area theaters in a myriad of capacities from lead actress to tech to costumer to director. Her favorite roles are too numerous to mention, as she’s been privileged to originate many of them, but William Shakespeare and Elizabeth Tudor, Queen of England are definitely two of the best. Tara is a charter member of the San Diego Shakespeare Society, co-guild mistress of the Knights of St. Christopher, and a member of more period groups than you can shake a stick at. Finding herself now amongst this flock of sisters is actually a dream come true for her, and she is delighted to finally be where her heart has yearned to go since 2002.
